1 out of 5 stars There are far better choices   July 25, 2007

Dog Train misses the mark for sure. We are huge fans of Philadelphia Chickens and I had high hopes for this Rock N Roll version. Unfortunately, we had a hard time finding the rock n roll on this rock n roll train. My 5-year-old son and I have only listened to it once with no requests for anymore coming from him...and certainly not from me. This one should be left at the station!

1 out of 5 stars no preview information stinks   June 9, 2007

my review is blank blank blank
do you really expect customers to buy music without some
idea of what it sounds like
why don't you provide samples of this disc?

3 out of 5 stars Older kids?   June 7, 2007

I've got a toddler (just about 2), and the music is waaaay too "adult like" for her (for me even). I suppose I was expecting the music to be more kid-friendly. Maybe suitable for older kids?

5 out of 5 stars Great Fun   May 13, 2007

I've got all of Ms. Boynton's Song Books and this one is my favorite. All my kids and I enjoy singing along to the catchy songs. We also love that even the songs which teach aren't prechy - like the broccoli song. I think we'll be listening to this for years to come.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT CD set   May 7, 2007
I love this CD set and the book. My son is 18 months old and this is a refreshing change from Baby Einstein and some of our other musical options. Lots of variety - catchy tunes. We listen to it in the car all the time.

I have two really minor complaints. My son is too young to actually be able to look at the book by himself. I really wish it had a board book option because the pages of this book cry out to be ripped by a toddler - - so I have set aside the book until he can control himself a tad better. The other thing that bugs is that the CD fits inside the book cover - so it doesn't have a case. You might want to purchase a plastic jewel case for the CD if you are going to listen to it in the car but might want to take it out. But those are cosmetic items - the music is great and your toes will be tapping!
