Not Worth It!! September 5, 2008 I finally decided to put good windshield wipers on my Toyota, right before Monsoon season hits, here in AZ. I used them once to clean the windows 2 wks. ago. I just got back from having my car checked out during a routine service..and they informed me, that the wipers need to be replaced, since mine apparently had already started to rip away! Before I purchased these, I had read all these reviews..and let me tell you, you're all full of it!! Thanks for making this single Mom, throw hard-earned money away!
Pretty impressive July 31, 2008 I've had mine for about 3 months now and they seem to be going strong and very effective. The icons do seem to out preform the Rain X Weatherbeatera on my Tacoma, but time will tell.
Acura 3.2cls April 2, 2008 The wiper blade is of excellent quality. It fits very easily. It also works very well. No streaks at all. The windshield on my car is not as smooth as a new one but it is better than OEM wipers with new inserts that I had before. The only concern that I have is that since the wiper arms are not designed for these new types it raises a bit and that comes in way of the fluid spray path initially, this is a little bit of problem for Acura as the nozzles are located under the hood rather than on top of hood. The passenger side seems to be ok. I still am using these as they clean better than my original ones. If this not an issue then this a very good buy. Amazon has the cheapest price on these.
Finally, a great wiper! March 26, 2008 Not only does the Bosch Icon wiper do the job, it does it well, and quietly! After spending more money last year for a different set of "premium" wipers, I thought the more I spent, the better. Not necessarily. Those were excellent wipers as far as clearing the windshield but they were so noisy, we hated using them! I finally broke down and decided to try these Bosch Icons since they're rated to be quieter than most and high quality. They are slightly more expensive than cheaper brands at your local department store, but if you buy them from Amazon, you'll be quite pleased with the value, quality and the quiet operation - now we don't even hear that they're on!
Best Wiper I've Tried March 24, 2008 I'm one of those anal guys who researches most of his purchases, even on small things like wiper blades. Unfortunately, I did not do that when I first replaced the blades on my Nissan Xterra. I replaced the stock ones with something the guys at Napa Auto recommended. During the first winter with them, they behaved as most wiper blades do - poorly. They chattered and squealed when the window wasn't drenched and left streaks or skipped when it was pouring. Like I said, they behaved like most blades. All this despite the fact that I keep the window - and blades - very clean.
So this year, after another couple of months of sub-par performance and the scares that sometimes accompany a wet windshield, I decided to look for the the 'best blade'. I read reviews and asked questions on forums and this blade kept coming up. Now that I have it, I can see why.
No noise - no matter how wet or dry the window. No skipping or sliding allowing water to remain behind. This thing, while still just a windshield wiper, is truly amazing. Yep, costs twice as much. No idea how it will hold up over the long haul, but I tend to replace blades once a year anyhow. Seriously, if you value the ability to see out of your windshield during torrential downpours or just drizzle - these things are the premier product.
