| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Mothers Back-To-Black is ideal for a variety of exterior hardware. Its called Back-To-Black, but it works great on all colors of exterior trim. If its made of plastic or vinyl Back-To-Black will breath new life into it. Use Back-To-Black on molding, louvers, bumpers, window trim, skirts, seals, door handles, wiper arms and any exterior vinyl or plastic surfaces. Back-To-Black cleans and reconditions the surface. So it not only changes or improves the way the effected area looks, but it alters the way it feels. Leaving it softer, smoother, and more supple with long lasting moisturizers. It easily removes white residues, yellowing, and that awful brownish appearance on sunburned trims. Back-To-Black does not leave behind a greasy residue that attracts dust and yellows over time, rather it revives that show-room quality sheen.

Top quality! April 23, 2008 If you are restoring a 35 years old BMW classic you need only the best and this (as all Mothers products I have used so far- and they are many) is among if not the best. Several applications (every week)during the first 3 months have restored all rubber to its new like condition and this brings not only a better look but also brings back the purpose of seals all over the car. From noise reduction to air tightness to better working AC and well, many other advantages. Believe me, I don't own the company!
Back to Black...until the next rain! February 3, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have read all the reviews for Mother's Back To Black, and frankly, I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the "rain factor" with this product. I used to use this on my Volvo bumpers because over the years, they had faded from black to grey. The Back to Black did make the bumpers look nice; however, as soon as the next rainfall, the stuff would run off the bumpers and cause really ugly streaks. Likewise, every time I washed the car, applications of the Back to Black became an additional step during the washing process. Well, I got tired of that really fast.
For those who use this product and love having to continually apply and re-apply it over and over again, enjoy! However, for those who are looking for a permanent remedy to your faded trim, use Forever Black. It is also available here on Amazon. I applied 6 coats of the stuff back in September of last year (2007). As of right now, the bumpers on my car look BETTER than they did on the day I bought the car (3 years ago). The bumpers look fantastic and the Forever Black is not affected by rain, or any other weather conditions. Actually, I am quite shocked that Forever Black is not better known that it is.
Good January 19, 2008 I use this on my Chevy Avalanche which has a lot of plastic trimming. I prefer using this over Armour-All as this one does not attract as much dust as other products do. It is runny like the other person posted, but use a sponge appropriate for your vehicle. It works and lasts longer than armour-all. i would recommend
Great product period!!!! October 19, 2007 I almost gave up trying to restore my trim until I found this on message board. Wow is all I can say. Trim is nice an shiny now. Not only does it shines but it also protects and cleans the trim. No more faded black color and it lasts for a few weeks! I must admit I was a little skeptical at first. One gripe its very very liquidy so it runs all over if u put on too much. Would be nice if it was a little thick.
Works great; Last Weeks September 14, 2007 I bought two more bottles of this and gave the remnants of the first to my neighbor to try. Turned oxidized "gray" back to black. I didn't need to buff on coarse surfaces - only on smooth rubber surfaces. Highly recommended. It is a little "greasy" so avoid getting onto painted surface - simply wipe clean if you do.
