 I didn't know this existed... January 9, 2009
My husband bemoaned the fact that we probably would have to take our vehicle to the mechanic to get a code read. Then I saw this product on TV and found it on Amazon.com shortly after. He was thrilled to get this for Christmas.
Good scanner for the money December 31, 2008
It reads out the trouble codes easily and allows you to clear them (and turn off the check engine light) if desired. Easy to use and does what it is advertised to do.

After reading many positive reviews on this reader. I decided to purchase one for myself. The Lexus dealer were
going to charge me $150.00 plus tax to read the Engine light Code (what a joke $150.00 come on). This
little reader works, and it's easy to operate, beside you
can use it for future code reading. I can say that I've made the right decision in purchasing this code reader.

This is a truly wonderful tool. In my area, it can cost $ 75 just to have a mechanic hook up your car to his "pro," style scanner to diagnose a problem and or turn off the check engine light. I used the scanner on my 98 Volvo V70, found that the problem was trivial (from a loose gas cap,) and turned off the check engine light. It took about 10 minutes to read the instruction manual and discepher the codes.
