 Great Gel Cell Battery Tender November 25, 2008
I've been using the conventional version of this same charger for years to maintain my motorcycle battery. When I recently replaced it, the battery had outlived its expected life by about three years and the person I talked to at the dealership accredited this directly to the fact that I kept the battery on a tender. When I got a new battery it was a newer gel cell model, so I purchased this new battery tender. It works just as well as the old one, and expect that I'll see the same extended life on the new battery. This is a must-have for any motorcyclist, or anyone else that used a seasonal vehicle that uses a 12v battery. Plug it in for the winter and forget about it... It is compact, reliable, and the quick disconnect wiring makes it easy to plug in other adapters. Just make sure you're getting the right battery tender for the type of battery you have! As other reviewers have pointed out, this model is designed specifically for gel cell batteries.

be careful when ordering a battery tender. This model is for gel-type batteries although the description does not state such.
I re-ordered the correct type and could not be happier with the product.

A little pricey but worth the money. A quality product. Nice and compact, but performs better than my larger smart charger. I would purchase again.

After receiving the wrong product the first time I re-ordered thru Amazon Customer service. The second order was sent the same as the first. The description needs to say that this charger is for a GELL CELL battery....it does however state this in the fine print near the bottom of the page, finding this after the second unit was on the way. This "GELL CELL" feature is very important and should be clearly stated in the title description. Thanks to Amazon, they have paid for the return and credit for the 2 wrongly shipped items. By the way, the correct charger model 021-0128 works perfect!!! Thank you!

This is a GEL cell battery charger only. The model for AGA, SLA, Flooded, Conventional Automotive and Motorcyle batteries is Model 012-0128. This unit will only work on cars and equipment using GEL (e.g. the BMW xi series automobiles).
