Just about useless August 19, 2008 I bought this gauge from Target for around $11. While it will give you a quick initial reading, trying to do a second reading never works.
Normally I put air into a tire and then recheck the gauge to see if the tire is still under-inflated or maybe over-inflated.
With this gauge, you only get one reading. If you try to do another reading after putting some air in, it just reads 0.00, so you never know whether to continue filling air or to stop.
This product is not recommended.
Simple and does the job August 12, 2008 My tire gauge has been working perfectly for the last 6 months. Other reviewers claim that it leaks air when taking measurements, but I haven't had any problems like this.
Worthless, locked on 0.00 the day after I got it. August 11, 2008 I actually bought two of these: the first locked on 0.00 the day after I got it, a month later my wife's did the same thing.
Better than most August 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This gauge is faster reading, easier to get a good seal and has a better design than others I've tried. Plus thru Amazon - it was about $4 cheaper than Sears' price...
Fight for fuel efficiency one tire at a time with this solid, reliable gauge! July 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As previous reviewers noted, aligning the gauge with the valve is key -- with practice, it becomes almost second nature. No issues with consistency*, accuracy, or durability -- used about 1-2X month (when filling up for gas) the past one year while being stored in the glovebox. A good buy for the mileage-conscious driver.
* For the most consistent readings, make sure you keep the 28.5 sticker on it at all times! ;)
