VERY CHEAP. LOCKING MECHANISM FELL OUT THE FIRST TIME I USED THIS CAP. PASS ON THIS ONE. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. WASTE OF MONEY.
Bad cap October 16, 2008
Product was received and installed on my truck. When I needed to refill the tank I was surprised to find out that the key wasn't turning the mechanism to remove the cap. It was defective and I had to break the cap cover to remove it from the tank. Really poor quality

This product has good quality and also fits well without any modifications or problems to 2008 ford Mustang. There are no warning lights in the dashboard when i started using this product. This is really koool

I am sure this would work fine, but it is not a universal item and I had to return it.
Easy installtion, looks OEM July 25, 2008
I got this locking gas cap for my 2005 Ford Escape and it installed perfectly using the factory tether. I just used a screwdriver to stretch the original cap out of it and stretched this new cap into it. Looks perfectly OEM. Love it. Took me maybe 2 mins to install total including removing the old one.
$14 and an OEM look for piece of mind is worth it to me. Don't hesitate to buy this. As always, AMAZON PRIME for the win! Got it in 2 days, free shipping.
